      Queensbury American Legion - $500 scholarship to seniors that have a parent or grandparent who is/was an Honorably Discharged Veteran of the US Military Services.

    • Sophomores can take the Practice ACT exam through Kaplan Review on Saturday, April 8, at 8 a.m. at Queensbury High School. Students must register in advance with the HS Counseling Center by Monday, March 27, for $18 or March 28-29 for a late registration fee of $20. The Practice ACT prepares students for the four-year college admissions requirement, which is offered junior year. Contact Janelle Sipowicz, school counselor and Practice ACT coordinator, with any questions.

      The Queensbury Senior Citizens, Inc. is now accepting applications for the Achievement Award. The $1000 award is given to a graduating high school senior who resides in the Town of Queensbury. The criterion for awarding the scholarship is exemplary service in the community.  Please stop by the High School Counseling Center for an application.

      SUNY Adirondack's Annual Open House will be held Friday, March 31st from 9-noon in the Gymnasium.  Seniors who are planning to attend SUNY Adirondack should mark their calendar.
      The Open House promises to be the best ever as the college expands the use of technology. Faculty/student led presentations will be interactive and are sure to capture your interest. Once again, any student attending the Open House who plans to enroll full-time in the fall 2017 semester will be entered in a drawing to win a $500 award for books...if you plan to attend please make sure you have a note to allow you to attend the event!
